In what's become a running theme this season, the Albemarle Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 75-38 victory over Mount Pleasant on the road. The win was nothing new for Albemarle as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Amari Baldwin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 11 steals. Baldwin is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bianca Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Albemarle's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Mount Pleasant, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Albemarle will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gray Stone Day at 6:00 p.m. Gray Stone Day will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 455th, while Albemarle is ranked 82nd). As for Mount Pleasant, they will head out on the road to face off against Union Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
