After three games on the road, Desert Vista is heading back home. They will take on the Mountain Pointe Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Desert Vista pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-55 to Sierra Canyon.
Despite their defeat, Desert Vista saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dylan Swindle, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Eanae Dagons, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Corona del Sol on Thursday.
Desert Vista now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Mountain Pointe, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for Desert Vista against Mountain Pointe when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 53-26 victory. Does Desert Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mountain Pointe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
