Mountain Range lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quincy Helsel, who scored 16 points. Preston Brunton was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Fort Collins got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayce King out in front who scored 30 points. King is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Marcel Herrera, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Mountain Range's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9. As for Fort Collins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Mountain Range won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Poudre at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Poudre will be up against Mountain Range's rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Fort Collins, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Horizon at 6:30 p.m. Fort Collins has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 957 points over their last 13 matches.
