Leading Nebraska Christian to victory were Oliver Herman and Micah Perdew. Herman scored 15 points along with seven assists and five steals, while Perdew scored 27 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Perdew has scored at least a third of Nebraska Christian's points. Quentin Herman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Nebraska Christian used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Elba. Three players got more time on the court than they're used to: Herman (16), Frank Zhang (five), and Wut Panyasakorn (four). The trio had averaged 6.62, 2.25, and 1.67 minutes respectively before Monday's game. Herman made the most of the opportunity, scoring eight points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Logan Adams and Cody Donohue certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Adams scored 26 points along with six rebounds, while Donohue scored eight points along with five rebounds. That was a full 68.4% of Elba's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Elba struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-6) when they can't control their own glass like that.
