Sammamish has gone a perfect 7-0 against Lindbergh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The RedHawks will head out to challenge the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Sammamish is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Josh Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ozzie Turner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Barrett Castillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Sammamish was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evergreen only posted a batting average of .136.
Meanwhile, Lindbergh entered their tilt with Highline on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pirates 7-5.
Isaiah Soto-Hernandez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Levi Emerson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Sammamish's record is now 14-3. As for Lindbergh, their record now sits at 10-7.
Lindbergh's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Sammamish has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Lindbergh, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Sammamish keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Sammamish skirted past Lindbergh 8-6 in their previous matchup on April 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the RedHawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
