Milford has gone 8-2 against Escalante recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Milford Tigers will square off against the Escalante Moquis at 7:00 p.m. Milford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Escalante likes a good challenge.
Milford took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Saturday. They walked away with a 73-64 victory over Valley. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Buffalos: they've now won three in a row.

Milford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sadler Barnes led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists. The contest was Barnes' 15th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kielen Tsosie, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 20 points and seven boards.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Escalante had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Telos 80-39. The Moquis have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.
Escalante's win came from a few key players Milford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rayce Jenkins, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. What's more, he racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mac Porter, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 steals.
Escalante smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Milford's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Escalante, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Milford has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Escalante struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Milford took their victory against Escalante in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 61-40. Will Milford repeat their success, or does Escalante have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
