West Side is 8-2 against Firth since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Side Pirates will be staying on the road to face off against the Firth Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (West Side is ranked 65th, while Firth is ranked 46th).
Last Saturday, West Side was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to The Ambrose School.
Meanwhile, Firth entered their tilt with Bear Lake with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Firth walked away with a 60-51 victory over Bear Lake on Wednesday. That 60-51 margin sets a new team best for Firth this season.
West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Firth, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
West Side took their win against Firth in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 47-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Side since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
