New Dimensions suffered their closest loss since January 4th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Freedom by a score of 68-65. New Dimensions was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Freedom apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
New Dimensions lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Rios, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rios has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jeriel Martinez, who scored 17 points.
New Dimensions' loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
New Dimensions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Haines City at 7:45 p.m. Freedom won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against University at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. University will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
