The Greendale Panthers had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 56-52 W over Westosha Central. That's another feather in the cap for Greendale, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Tatiyana Edwards, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Yoder, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Greendale's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Westosha Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greendale will take on Pius XI Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pius XI Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Westosha Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Racine Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Racine Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westosha Central in Wisconsin (Racine Park is ranked 33rd, while Westosha Central is ranked 271st).
