Heritage was led to victory by Emilia Okojie and Jadyn Middleton. Okojie scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while Middleton scored 13 points along with three steals.
Walnut Grove's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walnut Grove will take on Lebanon Trail at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lebanon Trail has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to take on Independence at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1097th, while Heritage is ranked 343rd).
