Xavier extended the longest winning streak in 4A Mississippi Valley - Valley this week by beating Waterloo West, 49-14. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Iowa City West took down Iowa City 44-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jefferson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Layne Sullivan has thrown for 461 yards this season, while Ben Koering has seven catches for 118 yards. Sullivan also leads the league in rushing with 131 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cedar Falls takes on Xavier. The Tigers are in third place, while Duane Schulte's team is in first place.
