Nantucket had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Rising Tide on Tuesday. The Whalers' pitchers stepped up to hand Rising Tide a 16-0 shutout. The Whalers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Nantucket's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Rising Tide, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Nantucket and Rising Tide will both be playing Sturgis West the next time they take the field. Rising Tide will head out to face the Navigators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Whalers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
