On Friday, Summit narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Canby 16-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Summit.
Summit had a senior duo take command as Sam Stephens gained 164 total yards and Jimmy Hughes threw for 187 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes.
Summit is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Canby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Summit will take on Lebanon at TBD on Friday. Canby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
