Basketball Recap: Corinna Arellano Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lewis-Palmer

A well-balanced attack led Palmer Ridge over Lewis-Palmer in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Palmer Ridge Bears took down the Lewis-Palmer Rangers 34-20. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Palmer Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corinna Arellano led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That's the most points Arellano has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Annaliese Bossinger, who posted seven points along with ten boards and three steals.

Palmer Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Lewis-Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmer Ridge will head out to take on Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Palmer Ridge is facing Ponderosa at the right time seeing as Ponderosa is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Lewis-Palmer has already played their next matchup (against Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
