Given Bloom-Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Fairfield Union is ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Emily Bratton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tessa Brooks, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Bloom-Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Fairfield Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
Bloom-Carroll will be playing at home against Teays Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Teays Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Fairfield Union, they will head out on the road to challenge Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
