The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers struggled with offensive rebounds on Wednesday (the Seaforth Hawks had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Bartlett Yancey was dealt a 56-19 loss at the hands of Seaforth. Bartlett Yancey has struggled against Seaforth recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Jazmyne Henderson was Bartlett Yancey's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Henderson also led the team in rebounds with two.
Gabby White was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds for Seaforth. White hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Katie Leonard, who scored eight points.
Bartlett Yancey's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Seaforth, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.
Bartlett Yancey will head out on the road to face off against Jordan-Matthews at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bartlett Yancey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Seaforth, they will head out on the road to challenge Southeast Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Alamance is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
