Softball Recap: Van Nuys Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Van Nuys and Los Angeles CES squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Van Nuys had to settle for second. They lost 19-4 to the Unicorns. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

KIMBERLY NUNEZ made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Angelina Volpe, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Van Nuys' loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Los Angeles CES, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Van Nuys does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Angeles CES, they will face off against Animo De La Hoya at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Unicorns will need to watch out since the Boxers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
