The Dymally Challengers lost to the Hawkins Hawks back in December of 2023, but the Dymally Challengers didn't allow the Hawkins Hawks the same satisfaction on Friday. Dymally came out on top against Hawkins by a score of 46-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dymally.
Dymally's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nyzear Hamby led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds. Amonte Mobley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Loss or not, Hawkins got some senior leadership from Robert Stewart and Elijah Boston. Stewart scored 14 points, while Boston. scored 12 points.
Dymally has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Hawkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
Dymally will head out on the road to challenge Locke at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hawkins, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maywood CES at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th.
