Make it seven blowout wins for the Kokomo Wildkats this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Tipton 67-13 at home. While fans of Kokomo might be used to big wins, the 54-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
It was another big night for Aijia Elliott, who scored 16 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan McClain, who scored eight points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tipton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Kokomo pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
Kokomo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Tipton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-20.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kokomo has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Berries at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Logansport is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Tipton, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Twin Lakes is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
