Minford entered their tilt with Dawson-Bryant on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Colt Donahoe made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Donahoe was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mark Napier, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Borland, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Minford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Minford's record is now 20-2. As for Dawson-Bryant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
