Falmouth won the last time they faced St. John Paul II and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Clippers beat the Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  3-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Clippers.
 Falmouth had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-22, 25-16,  25-15.
 Layla Clunes paced Falmouth's offense, picking up 22 kills. Clunes got some help from  Kinleigh Mohan and her 21 assists.  Brooke Farrington controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Falmouth's record is now 7-10. As for St. John Paul II,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four matches  and leaves them with a 10-9 record.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Falmouth is set to  take on  their familiar foe Dennis-Yarmouth Regional  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, St. John Paul II will  square off against  rival Nauset Regional  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
