Miami Valley Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin French led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Kelly, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Lockland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Lockland will head out on the road to face off against Cincinnati Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cincinnati Country Day presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lockland in Ohio (Cincinnati Country Day is ranked 362nd, while Lockland is ranked 808th). As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 7:30 p.m. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
