While it was all tied up 29-29 at halftime, Chicago Vocational was not quite Comer's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Chicago Vocational fell 70-61 to Comer. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ron Thigpen, who scored 26 points. He scored a full 42.6% of Chicago Vocational's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kyree Jones, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Richards pushed their score all the way to 72 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 85-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hansberry. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (68), Richards still had to take the loss.
Chicago Vocational's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Richards, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
