The Coral Gables Cavaliers were the  69-53 winner over the Southridge Spartans when they last played one another  back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Coral Gables ended up on the wrong side of a  tough 69-47 walloping at the hands of Southridge on Tuesday.
 Coral Gables' loss  came despite strong showings from  Gabriel Chang and  Marcellis Williams.  Chang  scored 20 points, while  Williams  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds. Chang has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cristian Andres Paredes, who  scored seven points along with two  steals.
 Coral Gables' loss  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-7. As for Southridge, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
 Coral Gables will be playing in front of their home fans against Dade Christian at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Dade Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 428th, while Coral Gables is ranked 161st). As for Southridge, they will head out on the road to  take on  Columbus at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Columbus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
