The Longmont Trojans can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They really took it to Greeley West for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-32 victory on the road. With that win, Longmont brought their scoring average up to 51.1 points per game.
Longmont was led to victory by Levi Scheck and Joey Foot. Scheck scored 17 points along with two steals, while Foot dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Foot pulled down eight or more rebounds. Cole Gaddis was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Greeley West still got an impressive performance from Jacob Flores, who scored 14 points along with three blocks.
Greeley West struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Longmont pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
Longmont's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5. As for Greeley West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Longmont will be playing in front of their home fans against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Longmont in Colorado (Silver Creek is ranked 22nd, while Longmont is ranked 91st). As for Greeley West, they will head out on the road to take on Holy Family at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Holy Family's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Greeley West has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
