This season hasn't been kind to the Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams, who are still winless after their 14th matchup. They suffered a rough 58-33 defeat at the hands of Coleville on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage of the 42-26 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
It was another big night for Kaelyn Lange, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals for Coleville. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lange has scored at least a third of Coleville's points. Stephanie Gutierrez-Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for Coleville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coleville, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Serpents at 12:00 p.m. on February 6th.
