Basketball Recap: Maxwell Piles Up the Points Against Plumas Charter

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Adventure Christian, Maxwell was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Plumas Charter Warriors 73-44. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Tanner Vierra produced another solid performance putting up 20 points and three steals. Levi Velazquez was another key player, earning 14 points and six boards.

Despite the loss, Plumas Charter still got an impressive performance from Dalton Bentz, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Bentz's 16th in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Moore, who posted five points.

Maxwell moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Plumas Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Maxwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-24 victory against Providence on the 20th. As for Plumas Charter, they have also already played their next matchup, an 84-51 win against Princeton on the 20th.
