After five games on the road, Northtown is heading back home. They will take on Chicago Mathematics & Science at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Northtown suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 76-30 loss at the hands of Maine South. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northtown has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Chicago Mathematics & Science strolled past Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-53.
Chicago Mathematics & Science found their leader in underclassman Marcus Hughes-Bey, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hughes-Bey has scored at least a third of Chicago Mathematics & Science's points. Joune Woods was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Northtown's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Northtown against Chicago Mathematics & Science in their previous matchup back in January of 2018 as the team secured a 82-45 victory.
