Shasta Cascade recap November 19, 2013
Fall River added to the longest winning streak in Shasta Cascade this week by beating Portola, 42-27. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Weed lost to Biggs 74-18 last week, the largest margin of any game. Aidan Hagarty threw for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 2 passes for 65 yards in the loss.
Rashaan Broomfield was the best running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 78 yards as Weed fell to the Wolverines.
Fall River's Jace Neugebauer and Tanner Gallion led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-8 quarterback Neugebauer has thrown for 1,465 yards this season, while Gallion has 39 catches for 656 yards. Broomfield from Byron Mathes' team leads the league in rushing with 1,402 yards.
Rick Neugebauer's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,583 from 9,700. The improvement was the result of a 42-27 victory over the Tigers last week.
