Kealakehe will challenge Hawaii Prep on the road at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Kealakehe don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Last Saturday, Kealakehe put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put the hurt on Waiakea with a sharp 47-22 victory. Kealakehe were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Hawaii Prep, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 9-14 to Honoka'a.
Kealakehe were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Hawaii Prep 54-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kealakehe since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
