Brashear is 2-7 against Meadville since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brashear Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Meadville Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Meadville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Brashear, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Brashear didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against La Plata, but they still walked away with a 59-54 victory. 59 seems to be a good number for Brashear as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Meadville was the victim of a tough 73-53 defeat at the hands of Atlanta on Tuesday. Meadville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-23.
Despite the loss, Meadville saw an underclassman step up: Mason Dennis scored 20 points. The matchup was Dennis' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Quentyn Smith was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Brashear's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Meadville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Everything went Brashear's way against Meadville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Brashear made off with a 57-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brashear since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
