Israel Ross Turns in Season-Best Performance
Israel Ross produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Leake Central to the win on Friday. Ross rushed for 218 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.
With the win, Leake Central broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. Ross and Leake Central are taking a road trip to square off against Choctaw Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

West Lauderdale was led to victory by Travion Mosley, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mosley's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 157 rushing yards.
The victory was the third in a row for West Lauderdale, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. They and Northeast Lauderdale are set to duel on Friday.

West Lauderdale Gets a Boost from PEOPLES in 49-30 Victory
Another West Lauderdale player making an appearance on this list is K.P PEOPLES. He rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 78 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
PEOPLES must have Taylorsville's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. PEOPLES rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries the last time he and the Tartars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Jase Jimison Delivers Electric Effort Vs Leake Central
While Jase Jimison delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Northeast Lauderdale. Despite the loss, Jimison was still balling out as he rushed for 160 yards, and also threw for 134 yards on eight of 13 attempts. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 63 yards.
Northeast Lauderdale and West Lauderdale are set to duel on Friday. Jimison will face off against K.P PEOPLES, the Knights' star quarterback. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.

Jaivon Wilson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Lauderdale to the win on Friday. Wilson wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks, making seven total tackles, and defending two passes. The match was his third straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
For the season, Wilson has averaged 5.4 total tackles per game and for the season has those 2 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 2.14 total tackles per game.
