It was a good run, but The Winfield Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 20-13 to Rose Hill. Winfield has struggled against Rose Hill recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Rose Hill found their leader in underclassman Keedrin Jones, who rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.
Winfield now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Rose Hill, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.
Winfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rose Hill will head out on the road to face off against Wamego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wamego will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
