Siegel is 1-8 against the Golden Bears since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Siegel Stars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mount Juliet Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Siegel and three for the Golden Bears.
Last Friday, Siegel was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to the. While losing is never fun, Siegel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the are ranked 87th).
Meanwhile, Mount Juliet came up short against the Commandos on Friday and fell 48-39.
Siegel has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Mount Juliet, they dropped their record down to 4-16-1 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Siegel against the Golden Bears when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 58-30 victory. Does Siegel have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
