It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the American History Bald Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 win over Bard Early College. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win American History has posted yet this season.
American History found their leader in underclassman Shamiyah Mubarak, who scored 19 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mubarak has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah Stanley, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
American History has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Bard Early College, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American History will take on Dickinson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bard Early College, they will be playing at home against J.P. Stevens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
