The Kwigillingok Eagles lost against the Chief Paul Memorial Falcons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Kwigillingok was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to Chief Paul Memorial. Kwigillingok has struggled against Chief Paul Memorial recently, as their match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Kwigillingok saw an underclassman step up: Janice Andrew scored 16 points. It was the first time this season that Andrew scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bessie David, who scored eight points.
Kwigillingok has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Chief Paul Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Kwigillingok does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chief Paul Memorial also has no future games currently scheduled.
