The Hudson Explorers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 20-19 photo finish over Benedictine. Given Hudson's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Benedictine is ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hudson had a senior duo take command as Teagan O'Guinn rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry and Peyton Neher rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
Hudson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Benedictine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Hudson will take on Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Benedictine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
