Lake Minneola blew past Central Florida Christian Academy 80-58. Given Lake Minneola's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Central Florida Christian Academy is ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Lake Minneola to victory were Landon Blackwell and Dakari Francis. Blackwell scored 24 points along with two blocks, while Francis scored 27 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Francis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Isom, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
Lake Minneola has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Lake Minneola will head out on the road to take on Lake Howell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Lake Howell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will face off against Hagerty at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
