While the East Limestone Indians couldn't quite beat the Tanner Rattlers on Saturday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 28-point defeat they were dealt on January 12th. East Limestone fell just short of Tanner by a score of 52-50. East Limestone was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tanner apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Eliyjah Jones, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Cade Dorning, who scored eight points.
East Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Tanner, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Limestone will take on Mae Jemison at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Mae Jemison is ranked 88th, while East Limestone is ranked 65th). As for Tanner, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elkmont at 6:45 p.m.
