Canyon came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 74-47 win over the Ironwood Eagles. The Comanches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

Brandon Benjamin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 12 boards. Benjamin is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 26 every time he's taken the court this season. Noah Kim was another key player, going 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kory Head-Holbrook, who posted 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Dillard, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Canyon pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ironwood, they moved to 8-1 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-64 loss against Crespi on the 30th. As for Ironwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-68 defeat against Campbell Hall on the 30th.
