After a disappointing 0 points in the match before, Brunswick made sure to put some points up on the board against Mt. Blue on Friday. Brunswick took the game and then some with a 47-12 victory over Mt. Blue. That result was just more of the same for Brunswick, who also won the last time these teams played.
Brunswick got off to a slow start in their matchup last week, but they had no such trouble against Mt. Blue and cruised to a 40-point first half. Mt. Blue countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 40-6 going into the half. The Brunswick defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The game pushed Mt. Blue down to 2-3 and pulled Brunswick up to the reverse at 3-2.
Next week Brunswick take on Lawrence at 7:00 PM. Unlike Brunswick, Lawrence will be limping in after taking a loss. Mt. Blue will be playing at home against Westbrook at at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
