The Hancock County Indians lost against the Cumberland Gap Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hancock County took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland Gap.
Cumberland Gap was led to victory by Kolton Goins and Brady Harris. Goins went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assist, while Harris dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Hancock County's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Cumberland Gap, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-17.
Hancock County will square off against Washburn at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hancock County is coming into the match with 11 straight defeats on the road, meaning Washburn will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Cumberland Gap, they will be playing at home against Grainger at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cumberland Gap focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
