The Carrollwood Day Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Carrollwood Day turned things around against St. Petersburg Catholic on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Barons with a sharp 17-6 win. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Maya Fuller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Carrollwood Day got a massive performance out of Olivia Fuller, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave Fuller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Antinori, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Carrollwood Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Foundation Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Zephyrhills Christian Academy 11-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Raeghan Ramsey and Makayla Howard were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Ramsey struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Howard tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Ramsey has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Ramsey went 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Howard scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Raegan Goble, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. McKay Barron was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Foundation Christian Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Carrollwood Day, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Carrollwood Day took their victory against Foundation Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carrollwood Day since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
