The Patrick Henry Rebels lost against the Honaker Tigers back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Patrick Henry was outmatched by the Tigers at home and fell 70-13. While losing is never fun, Patrick Henry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Tigers are ranked 71st).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Honaker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tailor Nolley, who scored 21 points along with seven steals. Nolley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna McNulty, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Patrick Henry and nudges their season record down to 3-14. As for Honaker, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Patrick Henry will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Honaker, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Northwood comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 17 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
