After only 12 points in their last match, The Carvers Bay Bears made sure to put some points up on the board against the Baptist Hill Bobcats on Friday. Carvers Bay blew past Baptist Hill 62-32 on the road. Considering Carvers Bay has won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Harold Gathers and Romaine Grant certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Gathers threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, while Grant picked up 190 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Gathers is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played.
Carvers Bay has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Baptist Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Carvers Bay is on the road again on Friday and play against Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Lamar is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. Baptist Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
