The Cloverdale Clovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Parke Heritage on the road and fell 82-43. While losing is never fun, Cloverdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Parke Heritage is ranked 87th).
Cloverdale's loss came despite strong showings from Levi Johnson and Trey Schabel. Johnson scored 14 points, while Schabel scored ten points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schabel has scored all season.
Parke Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was BT Luce out in front who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treigh Schelsky, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five steals.

Cloverdale and North Putnam will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Parke Heritage, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on North Vermillion at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. North Vermillion knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Parke Heritage likes a good challenge.
