Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 51st in West Virginia, while the Red Knights are ranked 680th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Toronto still got an impressive performance from Ashton Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Anderson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Toronto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
