On Saturday, the Central Indians faced the Sheridan Broncs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Central enjoyed a cozy 48-34 win over Sheridan. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Central.
Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karson Tempel, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Tempel has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Newton, who scored nine points.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Sheridan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-4.
