While Pineville's win against Neville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Tigers on Tuesday. The two-run effort marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Addalyn Burch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pineville's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madalyn Halle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Sydney Alford also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Pineville and bumps their season record up to 27-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Neville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Pineville will venture away from home to square off against Ouachita Parish at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Neville has already played their next matchup (against Sterlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
