Bedford has gone 8-2 against Maple Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bearcats will venture away from home to face off against the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. Bedford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Bedford came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to Ravenna.

Bedford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ Hudson, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. With that strong performance, Hudson is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Alex Barto was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Maple Heights made easy work of Richmond Heights on Thursday and carried off a 16-3 victory. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Marvin Wolfe was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Clarence Peoples also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Maple Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Bedford's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Maple Heights, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bedford has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Maple Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
